Level: Easy

SATIN STITCH Take care to keep within the lines of the design for a clean edge. Work straight stitches across the shape to fill it in. Don't make the stitches too long or they may pull up and won't hold their shape.

Level: Intermediate

FISHBONE STITCH The first stitch is a straight stitch from the tip down the centre Vein Bring needle up at B and stitch a sloping stitch, crossing the base of A so it is slightly over the other side of the centre. Bring the needle up at C and stitch a sloping stitch, crossing over base of previous stitch and inserting needle over the other side of the centre. Continue down the leaf, coming out thicker at the middle. Keep the angle the same and stitch from alternate sides
